Principal's Message

Dear Brookhurst Families, 

On behalf of the Brookhurst Elementary teachers and staff, I welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year!  Reflecting on my third year at Brookhurst, I am incredibly proud of all we accomplished together. Brookhurst Elementary was named a 2026 Best Elementary School by U.S. News & World Report, we were recognized as an AVID certified school, and received the No Place for Hate school distinction. This is a testament to the support of our parents and the outstanding teaching and school staff we have at Brookhurst Elementary School. 

As we enter this new school year, we remain deeply committed to the Garden Grove Way, where academic excellence is paired with a whole-child approach. We remain committed to our District’s Strategic Plan: Academic Skills + Personal Skills = Lifelong Success.  Our mission at Brookhurst is to guide each child toward academic excellence while also nurturing their growth into confident, prepared, and compassionate individuals. 

I want to sincerely thank all of our families for your ongoing support, partnership, and trust. Your active involvement is what helps make Brookhurst a warm, dynamic, and thriving school community. We’re proud to work hand-in-hand with our parent association to provide enriching experiences for our students—whether through field trips, assemblies, or fun family events after school. I encourage every family to get involved with our PTA or volunteer in any way you can—your participation truly enhances our students’ learning and school experience.

Thank you for being an important part of our Brookhurst family. I am honored to serve the Brookhurst community, and look forward to what our Brookhurst Dolphin Scholars accomplish this year.
